Ana Vásquez Colmenares is Oaxacan by family connection and emotional ties. She is a member of the Oaxaca Community Foundation’s board of directors, and for 12 years since the organization’s founding has helped in its development and professionalization, contributing ideas and assigning tasks in her specialist fields of communication, marketing, and public relations. Ana is also in charge of the foundation’s Annual Auction of Contemporary Art. She also supports various other charities such as the Fundación Mídete (to prevent and combat obesity). Furthermore, she is a cyber activist of several environmental causes and is part of Life QUALITY Project International.
Ana says “There is no greater social commitment than helping to change people’s lives. I believe in the Foundation, because we don’t simply give fish away, but help to teach people how to fish.”

We are very proud of Ana for her immense dedication and effort!.
En sus propias palabras, ella nos dice que “No hay mejor compromiso social que el que realmente ayuda a cambiar las vidas de las personas. Creo en la Fundación porque no damos pescados, enseñamos a pescar.”
Ana has generously proffered her leadership skills and knowledge to the different initiatives of the organization and has made the foundation’s Annual Auction of Contemporary Art a great success. Thank you Ana for everything you have done to strengthen our organization and for helping us to change lives for the better!
